John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital has been the first at many things. We trained the first paramedics and launched the first air ambulance in Phoenix. We also were among the first hospitals in the Valley to become a state-designated trauma center.

More recently, we became the first hospital in the Valley to be awarded Magnet Designation by the American Nurses Association.

An Accredited Chest Pain Center

In November 2008, North Mountain Hospital became an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI (percutaneous cardiac intervention, also known as angioplasty) by the international Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC). This is the highest national accreditation possible for emergency cardiac care.

A New, Expanded Facility

In October 2007, our North Mountain hospital opened the Valley's newest Emergency and Level I Trauma Center. Part of an ongoing investment in the hospital campus, the expansion doubled the size of the Emergency & Level I Trauma Center, to 37 beds. It was designed with comfort and quality of care in mind.

Compassionate Care

While many changes have transformed our facility, the Emergency & Level I Trauma Center remains focused on compassionate, individualized care. A new "patient liaison/interpreter" ensures patients receive the best clinical care and the highest possible level of personal attention.
