North Mountain Hospital


Overview

The Laboratory at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital is a fast-paced unit, providing 24-hour service. It serves all inpatient and outpatient units, including the hospital’s Level 1 Trauma Center.

Department Composition

The laboratory provides testing across many specialties, including chemistry, coagulation, hematology, urinalysis, immunohematology, microbiology, immunology, histology and phlebotomy.

Unit Staffing

A variety of positions are available in the laboratory, including laboratory supervisors, medical technologists, medical laboratory technicians and laboratory assistants. Additional opportunities are available in the STAT Laboratory, located in the Emergency Department, to expedite test results.

Scheduling & Shifts

The Laboratory operates 24 hours a day. Shifts are 8 hours or 10 hours, with flexible scheduling and shifts.

Clinical Applications

MediTech is the laboratory and hospital’s computer information system. The following additional equipment is utilized in the lab: Coulter LH750, GenS, MLA, Stago, Clinitek, OrthoProVue, Dimension RXL, Microscan Walkaway, Bactec and more.
