Effective April 4, Rhonda Forsyth becomes the fourth president and CEO in John C. Lincoln Health Network's 82-year history.
In December 2007, the Board of Directors of John C. Lincoln Health Network (JCLHN) announced that Forsyth would succeed Dan Coleman, who would retire in April 2009 after 22 years as the organization's president and chief executive officer.
"Rhonda is the ideal person for this position," said Kathy Wade, JCLHN Board chair and president of the Southwest Region of Standard Pacific. "Her experience in our Network, the leadership she has demonstrated and the values she exemplifies are a strong fit for our organization and its mission."
"Rhonda has been an integral part of our executive team for over 20 years," said retiring JCLHN President and CEO Dan Coleman. "I believe her leadership will assure that John C. Lincoln will continue to meet the growing health care and human service needs of the community."
Forsyth's inauguration as top JCLHN administrator follows her recognition last month as the Valley's 2009 Business Woman of the Year. Selected from 25 peers, she was first in the program's history to be singled out for top honors.
Since 1987, she has devoted her efforts to improving the quality of health care, human services and business practices throughout the Network.
Through much of her tenure at John C. Lincoln, she was responsible for leading managed care and revenue cycle operations. During her tenure as senior vice president for managed care and revenue, the Network received the Better Business Bureau's highest Ethics in Business Award. She has also served as CEO for each of the John C. Lincoln Hospitals.
Under her leadership as CEO of the North Mountain Hospital, it grew dramatically and continued to provide ever more advanced medical services. The new Emergency Department and Level I Trauma Center was developed, and the hospital's high-quality patient care was ranked in the nation's top 2 percent when the American Nurses Association designated it as the Valley's first Magnet facility.
While she served as Interim CEO for Deer Valley, it was honored with the Arizona Quality Alliance's Pioneer Award for high performance excellence throughout the hospital.
Forsyth's education includes a B.A. from Pitzer College and an MBA from Arizona State University.
John C. Lincoln Health Network is an acclaimed system of hospitals, health services, physician practices and community outreach programs. |
