Sharing Breast Cancer Recovery Experiences

The Networking Group is presented in partnership with the Breast Health and Research Center and The Wellness Community. It allows patients and families to support and learn from one another and to discuss aspects of living with breast cancer, as well as share treatment and breast cancer recovery experiences.

The Arizona chapter of The Wellness Community, a national nonprofit organization, provides free emotional support, education and hope for people with cancer and their loved ones through classes, workshops and support groups.

Likewise, John C. Lincoln patients will have free access to programs available at The Wellness Community's Phoenix campus, which range from yoga and makeup classes to classes for teens who have family members with cancer.

A Comprehensive Approach to Breast Cancer Recovery

The Wellness Community’s philosophy includes a complete approach to breast cancer recovery, and officials are excited about the partnership with the John C. Lincoln Breast Health and Research Center and its commitment to all aspects of patient care.

"A comprehensive program that addresses all of a person's needs — medical, social and physical — is the wave of the future for cancer, and I'm so excited to see that John C. Lincoln is doing this," said Jamie Sellar, MA, LPC, program director at The Wellness Community.
