Economic conditions across the nation failed to dampen the spirits of almost 600 supporters of John C. Lincoln’s health and human services mission who gathered together for the 2009 Night of Gold.
The Night of Gold Ball is one of two fund-raising events sponsored by The Guild, an organization dedicated to supporting John C. Lincoln's two hospitals and Desert Mission Food Bank, Children’s Dental Clinic, Community Health Center, Lincoln Learning Center and Marley House Family Resource Center.

While the 40th Annual Night of Gold — held Feb. 28 at the new Sheraton Phoenix Downtown in Phoenix — did not quite reach last year's record-breaking attendance and fund-raising, net proceeds from this year's event brought a generous and deeply appreciated $328,000 to supplement support for the John C. Lincoln Health Network.
"Especially at a time like this, it is wonderful to find that people are willing to continue to support the programs and services we know make such an important difference in the lives of the patients and clients who find the help they need at John C. Lincoln," said 2009 Ball Chairman Barbara K. Hansen, whose mother-in-law, Jan Hansen, chaired the very first Night of Gold 40 years ago. |
