Registration is under way for the 23rd annual Lincoln Guild Invitational Sept. 9 at Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale.
The tournament, sponsored by John C. Lincoln Health Foundation and chaired by James Fishman, MD, will raise money for Desert Mission's Food Bank, Children's Dental Clinic and Community Health Center.
"Golfers can play a beautiful course and enjoy great food and prizes, while supporting the important work of Desert Mission," said Dr. Fishman. "We have golfers from all over who have played in this tournament for years. We also get new golfers every year, who've heard about the fun we have and the community programs we support."

Cost is $350 per golfer and sponsorships are available. The $220,000 raised at last year's golf tournament was invested in Desert Mission programs that fed families, provided dental care to children, provided primary health services to families and paid for mammograms for 58 women.
Both the Children's Dental Clinic and Community Health Center moved into a new building at 9201 N. Fifth St. in Phoenix in May. The food bank is located at 9229 N. Fourth St., Phoenix.
"In challenging economic times, more families rely on the services provided by the Food Bank, Children's Dental Clinic and Community Health Center," said Cindy Hallman, executive director of Desert Mission and vice president of John C. Lincoln Health Network.
"Our generous sponsors, golfers and volunteers make a huge difference in the lives of children and their families. They are the key to the tournament's success, at a time when the need for Desert Mission services is especially critical to the health of the most vulnerable population."
Major event sponsors as of June 19 include EMC Corporation; Medical Diagnostic Imaging Group, Ltd.; and David Stahle with Merrill Lynch.
