The Level I Trauma Center at
John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital

Following a severe injury, every minute counts. The chance of survival is greatest if treatment is given within the first hour following injury. This "golden hour" is the golden rule of trauma care.

"John C. Lincoln Hospitals are dedicated to great patient care. You see it in the way they invest in technology to keep pace with the latest advances in medical procedures. It's also evident in the high caliber of their physicians and nurses."

– A. Gianni Vishteh,
MD, F.A.C.S.
Director of Neurosurgery Trauma and Spinal Trauma

The Level I Trauma Center at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital strives to achieve an even higher standard. In our view, the survival of many patients truly depends on the first few minutes following severe injury.

Excellence requires readiness. Our center remains prepared to receive, at any given moment, a wide variety of injuries. To care for 3,000 life and limb threatening cases per year—as well as patients with lesser injuries—our highly trained physicians, specialists and staff work with the precision of a championship-winning team. Yet, in doing so, we never lose sight of having compassion for each individual we treat.

The Level I Trauma Center at  John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital is one of only eight trauma centers in Arizona that carry the Level I designation. Since 1982, we have invested heavily in technology and training, and most recently in a brand-new facility, so that we can deliver trauma care to the most acutely injured—in our community and throughout Arizona.
